Pictures from the weekend sailing around Denmark :) One of my roommates and I sailed around the coast with a group of 14 other DIS students. The trip started off a little rough, with cold weather and rain, but ended up sunny and beautiful. We stopped at an island to go hiking for bit and later ported near a viking town.
For the first time since I arrived, I think (maybe...not sure) that I finally experienced "Danish" cuisine. The meals on the ship consisted of smørrebrød, so basically open-faced sandwiches with whatever you wanted to put on it. I hesitated on trying my first pickled herring after someone described it as tasting like "cinnamon." Cinnamon, pickled fish isn't my thing.
